New Co-Chair to the NASW Private Practice Committee of Suffolk County! As of September 2019 Maureen Smart, LCSW-R will be serving this professional community of mental health practitioners. In addition to her clinical expertise, Maureen brings to the position a warm and inspiring energy that is sure to be appreciated by this lively and dedicated group of clinicians that meets on a monthly basis.
Ambassador Peer Training Leader
We are honored and delighted to welcome to Maureen Smart, LCSW who has joined the MIB team as the Ambassador Peer Training Leader. Maureen trains Osteo Survivors and family members as Ambassador Agents to be able to offer peer support to those dealing with a new diagnosis.
Together: patients, family members, care givers, treatment providers and researchers can #MakeItBetter!
Certification Peer Vistor Program
MIB Agent lead Ambassador Trainer Maureen Smart, LCSW-R was in San Antonio at MIB partner, Amputee Coalition’s National Conference to take a 5-day trainer course for the certified peer visitor program.
